Currimundi Lake at sunrise is one of those views that Sunshine Coast locals take for granted until they see it photographed properly. The lake sits right on the coast, separated from the ocean by a narrow strip of dune and vegetation, and at the right moment – usually in the twenty minutes after the sun clears the horizon – the light turns the water a colour that doesn’t seem real until you’re standing there watching it happen.
