The Flinders Ranges are one of the oldest landscapes on the planet. The rock you’re looking at when you stand in Wilpena Pound was laid down 800 million years ago – before complex life existed on Earth. Standing there with a camera, that weight of time is physically present. You feel small in a way that the Sunshine Coast, for all its beauty, doesn’t quite produce.
