Light Saber was made at Coolum Beach at sunrise on a morning when a single ray of cloud-filtered light broke through the bank of cloud on the eastern horizon and swept across the bay like a beam. The name is obvious once you see it: a single shaft of light cutting across the dark water, the surrounding sky still dark, the light on the water almost fluorescent in its intensity.
