The Noosa River system is more complex than it looks from the ground – a series of curves, lakes, and tributaries that drain a large section of the Sunshine Coast hinterland before meeting the sea at Noosa Heads. From the air, the geometry of those curves becomes visible: the river bending back on itself, the wetlands on the inside of the bends, the surrounding national park creating a green border around the waterway.
