Frog Forest is the name I gave to a section of subtropical rainforest in the Sunshine Coast hinterland where, on wet nights, the amphibian chorus is loud enough to be the dominant sound in the landscape. The forest itself is the subject here – the density of the vegetation, the layering of the canopy, the darkness at the forest floor giving way to the green light further up. It’s a portrait of the environment rather than any particular feature within it.
