The Glass House Mountains don’t always cooperate. I’ve driven out there dozens of times and come home with nothing worth keeping. But on the morning I made this image, everything lined up – the light hit the volcanic peaks at exactly the angle I’d been waiting for, turning the rock a deep, saturated amber that no amount of post-processing could manufacture.

Glass House Gold is a 3:1 panoramic fine art print of the Glass House Mountains, Queensland’s most iconic volcanic landscape, photographed from the flat agricultural land north of Beerburrum using telephoto compression. The wide format captures all the major peaks in a single frame, the warm golden hour light raking across every ridge and crevice, the farmland below bathed in the same colour.

This is one of my most requested prints, and one I’m genuinely proud of. It works at almost any scale, from a 90cm living room piece to a 2-metre feature wall installation.
