The cliff face at Mooloolaba near the point where the Mooloolah River meets the ocean has a waterfall that only exists after heavy rain – the runoff from the suburban development above the cliffs finding its way over the edge and falling to the beach below. It’s temporary and impermanent, but in full flow after a storm it’s genuinely impressive: a white cascade falling straight from the clifftop to the rocks below, the ocean behind it dark with the storm still in the distance.
