Rainbow River was made on the Noosa River at sunrise on a morning when conditions produced a rainbow directly over the river – the light from behind the camera hitting the shower of rain on the opposite bank, the arc appearing to rise directly from the river surface. The warm sunrise light on the water, the rainbow above it, and the reflections in the still river made for a composition that essentially assembled itself.
