In the western Sunshine Coast hinterland, where the country opens up from subtropical rainforest into drier, more open farmland, galah flocks are a common sight in the tree lines. This image was made in the late afternoon when the flock was settled in the branches and the light was coming in at an angle that lit the pink of the birds against the grey of the eucalyptus bark.
