Hunchy is a small locality above Nambour in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, and the creek systems that drain the hills here support pockets of subtropical rainforest that are largely intact. Hidden Hunchy is one of those creek falls – a waterfall in a gully that most people walking the area would walk straight past, surrounded by tree ferns and overhanging vegetation, the water finding its way through a narrow basalt channel before dropping to the pool below.
